Where does my Secure Mail go?

In Gabriel, we have the concept of a “server” or “default” device. Each of the devices on your account can act as your “server” device.

Your mail is always encrypted and sent to / delivered from your own server device.

When you activate your first device, this becomes your mail device. If you activated an Android device first and a laptop second, it may make more sense for your laptop to be your “server” device.

To change where your mail goes:

  1. Method A
    1. From the main application interface, click on your profile picture (top left)
    2. Click on the “Settings” button
    3. Click on the “Manage Devices” button
    4. Put a check mark in the device row directly under the “Server” column
  2. Method B
    1. From the Secure Mail interface, while docked inside the main window
      1. Expand the top header to show your mail folders
      2. Click on the “Options” button
      3. Click on the “Change Mail Server” button
    2. From the Secure Mail interface, while popped out in its own window
      1. Click on the “Options” button
      2. Click on the “Change Mail Server” button
